Wide openness and smart content distribution

The large main compartment, which opens like a coffee cup, stays open to make packing as quick and convenient as possible. It offers ample space for clothes, footwear or equipment. Two internal side pockets – a zippered mesh pocket and a detachable, drawstring bag – keep smaller items neat and easy to find. The main compartment closes with a waterproof zip, which can be further secured with a suitcase clasp. Ideal for air travel.

 

External pocket and map pocket with address window

A water-resistant zipped pocket on the outside of the bag protects important items, such as a wallet or travel documents, and allows quick access. An address pocket with a transparent window helps you return the bag to its owner more quickly if it is lost. Particularly handy when travelling by plane or train.

 

Wear how you like

The Locarno can be carried as a backpack, over the shoulder or traditionally by a handle. The padded backpack straps offer comfort even on long journeys. The adjustable chest strap adjusts precisely to the wearer. A quick-release clip allows the straps to be quickly removed and completely detached from the bag if necessary. This reduces wear and tear and makes the bag easier to store, whether in the trunk, car or airport check-in.

Two reinforced side handles make it easy to lift and handle in all situations, for example on public transport or when using the luggage rack.

 

External fixings and better visibility features

Four D-rings on each side allow you to attach carabiners, straps or accessories. Under the bottom of the bag are two panels with reinforced openings for attaching, for example, a sleeping mat, jacket or other equipment. Reflectors on four sides ensure better visibility in the dark.

 

Air valve for volume control and protection

The integrated air flap allows you to adjust the volume of the bag and protect its contents. When air is let in, a protective air cushion is created to absorb shock and keep sensitive items such as camera equipment or souvenirs safe. When the air is released, the bag becomes lower and more compact. Ideal for storage in luggage racks or in the car.

 

Weatherproof, easy to maintain and environmentally friendly

Locarno is made of durable TPU-coated nylon – water-repellent, hard-wearing and long-lasting. Even in harsh weather conditions, the contents remain protected and cleaning is easy – a damp cloth is all you need. The bag is completely PFC-free, which means no harmful chemicals have been used in its manufacture.
