Introducing Flipster:
Wigiwama's latest addition to the modular
furniture collection
2025. At the beginning of 2010, Wigiwama introduced the Flipster – a new piece of furniture consisting of three modular elements that easily transforms into a cosy reading and relaxation corner, a children’s play castle and even an extra bed for unexpected sleepovers!
“Children’s furniture should be functional and fun, but also aesthetically pleasing. Surrounding children with carefully designed objects helps them develop an appreciation of quality, balance and beauty from an early age.” – Mark Litvyakov, Wigiwama Product Designer
Modular and multifunctional.
The Flipster is the logical continuation of the Wigiwama collection, based on the modular concept. Its design is composed of three elements: a basic structure that transforms itself into a chair or a bed, and two additional supports that act as backrests or playful elements. “I think the Flipster is a particularly good addition as a bed for overnight stays.” Mark shares. As a chair, it’s also comfortable for adults, but for children up to 11 years old, it’s suitable for everything.
Designed to inspire.
The surrounding environment has a huge impact on the development of young minds. “We want to encourage children’s independence by designing furniture that they can easily manage themselves,” comments Mark. “That’s why our products, including Flipster, are lightweight and easy to move. This allows children to take control of their space, rearrange it and create their own little worlds, encouraging both creativity and independence.” For parents’ peace of mind, Flipster is designed to withstand everyday adventures. “We know that children’s furniture needs to be both durable and easy to clean,” Mark stresses. “That’s why we always choose high quality, washable fabrics and sturdy construction that can withstand all the bouncing and repositioning that comes with play.”
Cultivating good taste from the start.
Wigiwamas believe that good taste must be cultivated from a young age. That’s why we choose our fabrics and colours carefully, so that our products complement a space, not overpower it. “We choose a colour palette that is both vibrant and timeless, something that will delight children but also blend seamlessly with the design of the home,” explains Mark. Whether it’s in the corner of the playroom or the living room, Flipster fits effortlessly into a variety of environments. “Children’s furniture should be functional and fun, but also aesthetically pleasing. Surrounding children with carefully designed objects helps them develop an appreciation of quality, balance and beauty from an early age.”
